Affuembey Affuembey joined ScottMadden Management Consultants in 2015 after receiving an M.B.A. beta gamma sigma from Southern University and A&M College.
Prior to joining ScottMadden, Affuembey worked as a freelance consultant and as a summer energy efficiency consultant with Environmental Defense Fund Climate Corps for two consecutive summers. In this role, he helped uncover close to $1 million of net present value in energy efficiency investments on engagements at Howard University and at Southern University. Affuembey started his professional career in microfinance as a finance advisor to a network of self-managed community banks in southwest Cameroon, under an AfDB-funded project. He was involved in setting up these community banks. He also served as chairman of the board for a startup business venture focused on business services and property management.
Since joining ScottMadden, Affuembey has worked on performance improvement, organizational redesign, market analysis for a newly installed board of directors, setting up a strategic issues project management office (PMO), strategy development, business planning process redesign, workload assessment and workforce recommendations, and strategy implementation (related to the ground-breaking REV—Reforming the Energy Vision—proceeding in New York State). These have been with nuclear operators, holding companies, regulated and unregulated electric generators, shared services companies, and electric distribution utilities in the US and in Canada.
In addition to an M.B.A., Affuembey holds a B.S. in banking and finance from the University of Buea (Cameroon), an Advanced Diploma in management accounting from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (London, U.K.), and a Post Graduate Diploma in international trade policy and trade law from the Trade Policy Training Center in Africa (Arusha, Tanzania). Affuembey is fluent in English, French, and Kenyang.
